Preparing a Wine Wedding List
For couples who would like to build a Wedding List, they can either visit one of our offices in London or Norfolk, or we can visit you at your home, or we can discuss your wines choices over the phone. The first decision you need to make is whether you would like your friends and family to be giving you Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy or a wide range of delicious New World wines. One of our team will discuss with you what wines you like, and will suggest others that you may be interested in. We are delighted to provide samples for you to test in order to make your final selection. When you are happy with the wines you have chosen, we will put together your List. Once you have approved it, we put it on the site.
Informing Your Guests
Most couples inform their friends by slipping one of our discreet cards in with their invitations which provides guests with all the information they need to find our site and your List. Alternatively, you might be preparing an insert for your invitation with information regarding your wedding and you can include our contacts details. Finally, we are able to write directly on your behalf to anyone who cannot be on the invitation list but whom you feel might want to send a present.
How Presents Are Purchased
Once your guests are aware of where you are holding your List, they can view your chosen wines at this website. They can purchase by calling, emailing or faxing us. One of our team will confirm to each guest their purchase. Everyone who purchases is encouraged to add their own special message, which will accompany their present. Payment is accepted by cheque, credit card and BACS and we send out confirmation of payment and their choice.
Delivery
Approximately one month after your wedding the wines will be ready for delivery. We will provide you with a detailed list of exactly what has been bought and by whom. You just need to let us know if you want us to store the wines on your behalf, or deliver them to an address of your choosing. Then its up to you to enjoy the wines. Delivery is free for quantities of over £300 in value in Mainland UK (excluding the Highlands and Islands). For delivery anywhere else, you will be charged at cost.
Remaining Items
Many couples like to purchase any remaining wines on the List, or just to complete a case which hasn't all been bought. We are delighted to offer you a 10% discount off the balance of the outstanding wines on the List.
